KAYAK RACKS
April 1, 2021
Hello Fisherman’s Cove Neighbors!
As March turns to April, we can all start thinking about Spring and spending more time outdoors and perhaps even on the water!
The Association Board voted, in our most recent meeting, that we would build two racks for kayaks, canoes, small boats that fit in our picnic area. This effort fits the board’s mission for the community in several ways.
First it allows us to have a safe and structured place for kayaks in the picnic area vs. having them strewn everywhere along the beach and shoreline. Second, it will add to the value of our community especially for those who enjoy boating. Additionally, the conservation committee has requested that all boats be removed from shoreline grassy areas and this will solve that issue. Lastly, the rack will provide a manner for the boats to be secured with locks provided by their owners. We are asking that all boats be secured on the rack and not left on the beach so that the beach can be enjoyed.
There are 24 spaces are available and a lottery will be held for those interested in securing theses spaces for our first season. Mary and Paul Carter in their role as secretary and treasurer will operate the lottery.
Please see the rules below. If you have any questions about this lottery, please feel free to call me.
